Terms & Privacy Policy

Please read this carefully before registering as a donor on Blood Network NSTU.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account on Blood Network NSTU ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not register or use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

The Platform is intended for current students, faculty, and alumni of Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU). You must provide accurate and truthful information during registration, including your student ID, university email, department, and session. Accounts found to contain false information may be suspended or removed without notice.

3. Nature of the Service

Blood Network NSTU is a community directory that connects potential blood donors with people in need within the NSTU community. The Platform does not provide medical advice, does not guarantee the availability of any donor, and is not a substitute for professional medical services or licensed blood banks. Any arrangement to donate blood is made directly and voluntarily between the donor and the requester; the Platform is not a party to that arrangement and bears no responsibility for its outcome.

4. Donor Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for keeping your availability status, contact number, and last donation date accurate and up to date.
  • Donors are expected to observe a minimum recovery period of 120 days between donations for their own health and safety, in line with standard medical guidance.
  • You should consult a qualified medical professional or blood bank regarding your personal fitness to donate before doing so.
  • Harassment, misuse of another user's contact information, or contacting donors for purposes unrelated to blood donation is strictly prohibited.

5. Privacy & Data Use

We collect the information you provide at registration (such as your name, student ID, department, session, gender, blood group, contact number, and address) to operate the donor directory and connect you with people in need. You may choose to hide your phone number from the public directory in your dashboard settings at any time. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Information may be visible to other logged-in, verified members of the Platform as necessary for the Platform to function as a donor-matching directory.

6. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

7. Prohibited Use

You may not use the Platform to impersonate another person, submit false blood requests, scrape or harvest donor data, or use the service for any commercial or unlawful purpose.

8. Account Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or remove any account that violates these terms, provides fraudulent information, or is reported for abusive behavior toward other members of the community.

9. Changes to These Terms

These Terms & Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time as the Platform evolves. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Contact

If you have questions about these terms or how your information is used, please reach out through the Contact page.
